Insurance Claims and Accidental Damage – Should you unfortunately need to claim on your insurance for water, fire or accidental damage we can help. We work directly with disaster management companies and insurance firms as well as individuals that need help with a claim.
French Polishing - Traditional French polishing carried out by our experienced craftsmen.
Modern Finishes - This clear lacquer finish is usually the choice, for modern fittings or furnishings.
Repair & Restoration Work - Damaged or missing veneers & inlays repaired, and made good before French Polishing.
Colour Matching - Timber stained, coloured and French polished to match the existing finishes.
Waxing & Oiling - To avoid stripping and retain the patina on earlier antique furniture, we use old techniques and materials. This may include waxing or oiling, to enhance the texture and beauty of the natural wood.
Glueing & Repairs - Scratches, loose joints, broken or missing parts. Wherever possible we repair any damage by gluing and so ensuring the authenticity of the piece.
White Heat & Burn Marks– we are able to remove white heat or burn marks.
Carving and Woodturning - to replace missing parts as we can copy and repair original carvings and turnings.
Brassware, Locks & Hinges - We can source antique and reproduction pieces to match broken or missing items.
Upholstery - Our upholsterers can carry out any type of upholstery. This may include using hair or natural fibre as stuffing, before re-covering and finishing with braiding or studding.
Desk Top Leather Replacement - We offer a desk top leather replacement service. This includes a range of colours and different tooling choices, all of which are of excellent quality.
Onsite Restoration - Staircases and balustrades, Handrails, wall panelling and fire surrounds.
Split Cane and Rush Seating – restoration using traditional methods.
